Chuck & Marcie's Basement

Marcie & Chuck called me in to hang their mural in the front hall. This artists canvas was a Valentines gift for Marcie two and a half years ago. As it turned out the "front hall" was a curved wall over a stairway. During our discussions about the relative difficulty and logistics for hanging the painting, it became quite clear that the cost of hanging the painting would exceed its price. As the talks over the painting were winding down, Marcie mentioned that one of her goals for adding to the value of their home was to finally have the basement finished. She and Chuck had envisioned a warm living space that would be inviting and useful. MAB Home Services drew up a plan that included a bedroom and a full bath, a great room with a fireplace and a bar, a media room for TV and stereo equipment and an exercise / golf room. Also included in the plan was a large and organized storage area in the back rooms. Upon presentation of the plan to Chuck & Marcie, they said it was just what they had wanted. When I offered to hang the painting as part of the complete package, the deal was struck and production began.

The project start date was May 22, 2007, and was scheduled to be completed by September 7, 2007. MAB Home Services completed the project and turned the new living space over to the customer on August 24, 2007 - a full two weeks ahead of schedule. The foot print of the work area was 3,266 square feet. The contract called for finishing 2,500 square feet with the balance being left for storage and shelving. When the customer and I walked thru the finished space, I carried a pad of paper with me to jot down any "punch list" items for correction or repair. At the end of our walk thru I looked down at my pad and saw only a blank sheet of paper. Flexible scheduling, efficient production, thoroughness and attention to detail are the corner stones of MAB Home Services. Its what my customers expect, and I can't imagine giving them anything less.
